PEACE LOVE & Missguided //

Hi everybodyyyyyy!!!!!! Ray Ray screaminnn Happy New Year!!! What a crazy past month and a half it has been! The holidays were so peaceful this year, saw a bunch of friends and family I haven't seen in a long time :) My sister got married a little over a week ago YAY, it wasn't "MY day" but it was most def one of the best days of my life. I cried THE whole ceremony...but hey I must say I was slayinggggg my mermaid wig  #bridesmaidstyle. Honestly the only stressful moment of my trip to Florida for the wedding, was when my sister asked me to sew 6 "headband-turned-belts" onto each bridesmaids dress *sighhhh* -- can't say no to the bride lol! SHOUTOUT to my sis Nicole & new brother-in-law Tony I love you both very much :)

Moving right along.....One of my new years resolutions this year is to learn to save my funds and purchase things for my closet from higher price point brands -- like the one you will see tonight! I will NEVER stop thrifting and finding staple vintage pieces, but what girl doesn't wanna splurge a little ;)

I love the silhouettes, fabrics, and comfy sexy style of the brand I'm wearing tonight -- MISSGUIDED. This open back maxi is soooooo soft and form fitting, speaks for itself! I felt so beachy, so I paired this dress with a layered beaded necklace - simplicity.

Here's another maxi dress look by one of my favorite bloggers natashandlovu // www.bisousnatasha.com -- absolutely love the button detail and black bag/shoes!!! She killed this Missguided attire!

So, I may have formed another hobby while away this past month -- YOGA! I fell completely in love with the art of this exercise, so peaceful and just makes ya feel so happy. So, in search of some cool active wear brands I came across Missguided Active Wear -- check out their newest collection MISSGUIDEDactive --

xoxoxo missed youuuuuuu --

December Textures //

Ray here with a couple shots of my most recent flirty look I wore to a lounge club downtown last week ;) I'm obsessed with these fabric textures together!!!

Leotards & I go way back, I used to dance ballet when I was a tot, and my older sister has been a ballerina for over 15 years!! You can layer garments around the design of the leotard.  I love that there's all different cuts/revealing elements & they are comfy! I wanted to build texture over my leotard last Friday night, so to twist it up I thew on my new thrifted fur vest by Sisters. Than the flirtatious velour skirt added that city flare I needed! Can you believe this is a skirt from Limited Too circa 90's !!!! So cute. Its not a ray ray look without some sexy suade boots & red lips xo!

Welcome December ❤️

I'm stoked to style a shoot for Curly Pink Gal Alecia downtown tomorrow! I will totally be playing with some textures including some vintage furs from Mila & Fire!! Stay Tuned loves.....

Styled By Ray Ray // 11.12.14

Ray here with some amazingggggg shots you're not gunna wanna miss!!! This was one of my first photo shoots in the DMV, and I feel so blessed to have photographers/models contacting me so THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH❤️

I had the honor of working with an awesome team! Photographer KIDD CHAOS - Model Rene Vita - MUA Akua Robinson - HAIR Zoey Asher. This shoot flowed so well, when you have talented people surrounding you the creativity is unreal!

For this shoot I used some vintage furs, lots of black & some neutrals, sexy classy! The model's bright blue eyes, whispy hair & charcoal eye makeup really brought the vision together. Also, I wanted to keep the jewelry simple, a string of diamonds here, bold necklace there, keep the focus on the outfits. But hey! let's let the photos speak for themselves :)

Photographer Spotlight // KiDD CHAOS

When did you start photography? //

"I bought my first camera April 2009. The day I bought it my best friend and I rode up to Union Station on the metro to take a few photos. I bought the camera as a way to keep myself busy. I was having crazy issues with a girl I was talking to and it seemed like something interesting to do. Yes, this all began with a girl! I started out taking silly pictures of friends and photo-shopping in fire and swords, the usual nerdy stuff. Eventually I moved on to taking pictures of women, because they're visually more pleasing to the eye. My first official photo-shoot was in June of 2009, i shot a former co-worker. I remember thinking it was the best shit I've ever seen in my life! From there the hunger to become better took hold."

I know you also studied Graphic Arts, how do you think this helped you as your love for photography grew? //

"Yes, I was a graphic design major at 'The Art Institute of Washington'. but my level of creativity goes back further than college. I learned how to use photoshop in high school and before that I was drawing and painting portraits. I've always had a passion for art, because its the only thing that made any sense to me. I do feel my skills as a graphic designer does put me at a better advantage than most photographers because I understand the art of photoshop better than most. Retouching is a huge part of our culture and most all photos you see are photo-shopped."

Black & White OR Color //

"I love both! That's like asking a mother which one of her twin boys does she love the most!"

What's your goal for the next couple years as a photographer? //

"I hope to expand my reach. Bringing in the new year, I want travel more and produce work in other cities. If the sky's the limit, then I'm aiming for the stars!"

Dream shoot spot??? //

"I would love to do a shoot in Louisiana! I love the southern culture & vibe there. I can imagine a model chillin with a cigarette on an old cobblestone road surrounded by aged red brick. It just gives me goosebumps!"

Shades of Beige Outfits//

Ray Ray here on another beautiful Monday afternoon eager and ready to finally post these looks for you to see!

I've been inspired I can't lie, I'm literally inspired by everything lol. The color that's all the rage, a color everyday people usually only buy in work pants -- Tan a.k.a Beige a.k.a Camel. But my fellow fashion bloggers, stylists, designers and myself said hell no lets spice this up!!

Kim Kardashian oh so effortlessly photographed wearing gorgeous Chloe pants & Lanvin jacket. She has been really feelin these neutral colors lately & so are we!

One of my fav fashion gurus Micah Gianneli - she puts that sexy edge to any outfit. I rarely see her in bright colors, but her obsession with neutrals and black/white shows that basic colors stand out too!
